New Lead-Based Painting Regulations Impact Small Business Owners

by WOHe

Nov. 29, 2010 — George Peacock and Thomas Dixon know just how to find out if paint contains lead what they don’t know is how small business owners like themselves can survive after paying the fees associated with the new lead-base paint laws.

“It looks like it kind of focuses on and targets on that middle class working man that’s trying to make a living and I think in today’s economy it just puts a bad taste in people’s mouths,” said Dixon.

The Environmental Protection Agency requires anyone that could disturb lead-based paint to take a course which costs 300 to 400 dollars .
