QR: Your team was able to achieve high rates of customer satisfaction during the pandemic, a time of greater scrutiny because clients were at home more. There were also supply-chain delays. What measures did your firm take to maintain client satisfaction?

We supplied weekly lead times to our sales staff so that they could communicate them to our customers at the time of the sale. This helped us navigate the constant changes during the pandemic.

We added several new communication touch points with phone calls, emails, and texting about every week. We added Hatch more recently to help enhance communications.

QR: Firms with happier employees have higher levels of customer satisfaction. What are the top ways you are able to keep your employees happy and satisfied?

We survey our team every year and measure 40 different data points and compare year to year. Our scores indicate that our team is happy.  Every one of our team members meets with their manager every quarter for a one on one. Our turnover is also very low.

The number one for us is company culture. We have strong core values and celebrate them every day and every quarter using examples of our team members doing our thing.

As part of our quarterly one on ones we always ask our people “over the next 3 years what has to happen personally and professionally for you to feel happy with your progress?”  Team member development is a big priority.

QR:Purpose driven” companies, those that exist to effect change or take action on something bigger than their products or services, attract a younger, higher skilled employees who tend to be more engaged workers. Some firms connect their “purpose” to a written mission statement. Do you operate a purpose-driven organization? And in what ways does your firm extend itself to outside causes.

We have a vision that is shared with our entire team every quarter. It revolves around providing a better window and door replacement experience to homeowners. The industry big players have poor track records on BBB with complaints and poor service. Our whole culture thrives on quality and providing the Ultimate door and window replacement experience with fiberglass windows and doors. Our people feel truly great about working for a company that really cares about the homeowner.
