NKBA Elects Top Leadership For Year 2000
Hackettstown, NJ Five members of the National Kitchen & Bath
Association have been elected to take office as the association’s
Executive Committee, effective Jan. 1, 2000, the NKBA
Stephanie Witt, CKD, CBD, of Kitchens by Stephanie, in Grand
Rapids, MI, assumed the position of association president for 2000,
noted the NKBA, based here.
In addition, Gary West, CKD, CBD, of United Home Supply, Inc., in
Muncie, IN, will take office as president-elect; Charlie Wheeler,
CKD, CBD, of Mattix Cabinet Works, Inc., in New Orleans, was
elected as v.p.; Phyllis Markussen, CKE, CBE, of the University of
Nebraska at Kearney, in Kearney, NE, will serve as secretary; and
Beverly Dalton, of Signature Kitchen & Bath, Inc., in Bowling
Green, KY, was named treasurer.
Jeff Burton, NKBA’s 1999 president, will remain on the committee as
immediate past president.
Witt entered the kitchen and bath industry as a sales professional
in 1978 and joined NKBA in 1982. She has been active at both the
chapter and national levels, serving in the Michigan State Chapter,
and on the executive committee as secretary and 1999
West has been involved with NKBA’s Indiana chapter since 1977 and
has held a majority of chapter offices, including president. He has
been on the national board of directors since 1992.
Wheeler has more than 20 years of experience as a kitchen and
bathroom designer. He has been an active member of NKBA’s
Louisiana/Mississippi/Arkansas chapter for 18 years, serving
in most leadership positions.
Dalton founded her company, Signature Kitchen & Bath, Inc., in
1986. She is a charter member and past president of the Ohio Valley
Chapter of NKBA, and has also served at the national level of NKBA
