NKBA, NARI to Partner at K/BIS And in Leg.

Hackettstown, NJ The National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA)
and the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) have
reached an agreement for NARI to be a “presenting partner” at the
Kitchen/ Bath Industry Show (K/BIS) and its concurrent educational
program next April in Orlando.

In conjunction with producing a portion of the program for the
National Kitchen & Bath Conference, focusing on topics in
remodeling, NARI will also conduct its annual Board of Directors
meeting during the four-day trade show and conference, according to
the Hackettstown, NJ-based NKBA.

NARI activities will culminate on April 12 with the
association’s “Evening of Excellence” ceremony, honoring the
national winners of the 2003 Contractor of the Year (COTY) Awards,
the NKBA said.

Representatives from NKBA and NARI began discussions this spring
at NARI’s 2002 annual Board of Directors meeting in New Orleans,
according to officials of the two trade associations. Subsequent
meetings between
the organizations resulted in the agreement, which was announced
last month.

“We realize the quality and value of NKBA to many of our members
and are proud to be able to come to an agreement that will benefit
the industry at large,” said NARI president Julius Lowenberg.

“This partnership will provide our members with even more
opportunities for professional development,” said NKBA president
Charles Wheeler, CKD, CBD. “By joining efforts with NARI, we can
bring together the resources of two powerful industry associations,
which will add immeasurable value to our members.”

Beyond the April event, both organizations have also agreed to
“capitalize on their strengths and shared interests in the areas of
education and legislative advocacy,” the trade associations

“I’m very pleased to be working with NARI,” Wheeler observed.
“Our programs and services complement one another, and our members
will truly benefit from this
