NKBA Reports Membership Gain

Hackettstown, NJ Total membership in the National Kitchen &
Bath Association increased 9% in 2001 to about 8,500 members, the
trade association reported.

According to the NKBA, based here, non-student membership was up
6% for the year, while new member applications rose 9% and the
association’s membership retention rate (members who renewed their
membership for 2001) was nearly 96%.

The association also announced that two subchapters Texas North
Plains and Texas Hill Country have been elevated to the status of
full chapters.

In addition, the Alaska subchapter was partitioned from the
Northwest States Chapter to provide members in Alaska with
“realistic networking avenues,” according to NKBA officials.
