One week until IBS 2011


The International Builders’ Show is one week
away. Are you
prepared for your visit to the show? The National
Association of Home Builders, which puts on the show, announced that
slots are filling up fast for its Spokesperson Training Sessions.

Attendees can choose from two sessions that are geared to increase
interpersonal skills. The Interview Skills session “teach NAHB members
how to give clear, concise answers while in a high-pressure, spur-of
the moment interview,” according to NAHB’s website. This session is
offered on two days: Mon., Jan. 11 and Tue., Jan. 12.

The Presentation Skills session teaches members “how to confidently
prepare and deliver dynamic presentations to any audience.”
This session is offered Wed., Jan. 13.

The Custom Builder Symposium
is also held during IBS 2011. On Fri., Jan. 14, Rob Heselbarth,
editorial director of RD+B
will recognize 2010 Excellence Award winners during the CBS. To attend,
go to room West 309 A-B of the Orlando Convention Center. The event is
held from 12 to 1 p.m.

NAHB also announced it has a mobile app specifically for IBS 2011.
Use the app to access show info, schedule your days, and follow IBS
Twitter updates. The mobile app is available for iPhone, iPod Touch,
iPad, Blackberry, Android and other
