Pair of Remodeling Firms Announce Merger

by Emily Blackburn

Legacy Restoration, a Minnesota-based provider of exterior restoration and remodeling services, and Janney Construction, an Orlando-based provider of exterior restoration and remodeling services, specializing in roofing, have reached an agreement for the companies to merge, corporate officials announced.

Founded in 2011, Legacy Restoration’s specialties include roofing, windows, siding and gutters aimed at the single-family, multi-family and commercial markets across the upper Midwest. The company is a business unit of Bessemer Investors, a New York-based investment firm, which said that the merge with Janney represents a continued expansion of Legacy Restoration, both geographically and into retail-based re-roofing. Janney Roofing, headquartered in Orlando, FL, serves Orlando, Tampa, Central Florida, North Florida and Southwest Florida.

“The addition of Janney allows us to extend our geographic footprint into the southeast with one of the highest-rated roofing organizations in the country,” said Scott Mullins, CEO of Legacy. “This is an important next step in Legacy and Bessemer’s joint goal of building the largest and highest-performing exterior restoration business in the country.”
