SPRINGDALE, ARKANSAS—MoistureShield Composite Decking partnered with Central States Manufacturing to build their “Not So Roughing It” playhouse that was auctioned as part of the 10th Annual Playhouse Palooza Construction Bash. The event raised nearly $40,000 for abused and neglected children that are part of the Northwest Arkansas Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) programs, and the “Not So Roughing It” playhouse created by MoistureShield and Central States Manufacturing raised the most funds of the four playhouses up for auction with a winning bid of $5,700.

The “Not So Roughing It” playhouse included an installed entertainment system with an interconnected iPad, flat panel TV, Blu-Ray player and audio system with subwoofer. MoistureShield donated the composite decking for the multi-story playhouse, meaning the decking and siding are insect and moisture resistant. The composite decking MoistureShield donated is also a green choice for the playhouse, as the decking is made of 95 percent total recycled content.

Proceeds from the Playhouse Palooza benefit will improve the lives of abused and neglected children, and CASA of Northwest Arkansas hopes to reach more than 450 children in 2013 through the assistance of fundraisers and dedicated supporters. “This community (Springdale) has been very good to us, and we’re happy to give back, especially knowing it’s going to such a dedicated organization that is working tirelessly to bring smiles to children in need,” said Brent Gwatney, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for MoistureShield.
