SaphirKeramik Toilet

Laufen has introduced a series of bath fixtures using SaphirKeramik, a new ceramic that is harder and has a greater flexural strength than vitreous or fireclay ceramic, according to the company. With SaphirKeramik, closely defined radii and edges are possible with thin walls. The hardness of the material permits shapes that were previously not possible. The material is insensitive to abrasive cleaners, and has a flexural strength comparable to steel, adds the firm. Shown is one of the sinks as well as the toilet from the line.
