Technology creates custom interior doors

HighMark Digital has updated its model to feature a built-in point-of-sale system to allow dealers to quickly quote a job, take door measurements and place orders from a mobile tablet PC. The model has a three-step process of measure, mill and fit. Each door frame is measured with a digital imaging system to create a 3D model of a perfectly fit door. A custom milling machine then uses that image to cut each door to specification. Once the door is cut and painted the door is shipped and the contractor can install it in five to ten minutes.
