SEN Marks its Seventh Anniversary
Pittsburgh, PA The Signature Executive Network (SEN), the first
buying group formed for kitchen and bath design firms, marked its
seventh anniversary at its recent Fall Conference here. The
three-day event, held in late October, attracted more than 200 SEN
members, vendors and guests, according to SEN President Ken
Peterson, CKD.
“After the Sept. 11 attack on America, there were reservations
about rescheduling the conference, which was originally set for
mid-September in Denver fear of flying, fear of another terrorist
attack, fear of diminished returns for the attendees,” Peterson
observed. “But none of these concerns materialized as vendors and
members rallied in support of each other.”
Three members of the Chapel Hill, NC-based SEN were recognized
for their outstanding sales achievement with vendor products
through the first six months of 2001: Karen Bieszczak of the Bzak
Design Group, Terrace Park, OH; Chuck Chwastyk of Custom Crafters,
Kensington, MD, and John Lang of Lang’s Kitchen & Bath,
Mercerville, NJ. Bieszczak also won the Best of Show Award for the
Fall Design Competition sponsored by the group’s exclusive
magazine, Signature Kitchens & Baths. A panel of architects and
Certified Kitchen Designers judged the entries.
