Show to Focus On Adult Housing, Design
Needs
Washington, DC Builders, architects and residential space
planners can learn more about housing for America’s growing 55+
population at the “Seniors Housing Show 2000,” scheduled for Oct.
19-21 in Detroit, show sponsors announced.
The show, now in its second year, will be co-located with The
Remodelers’ Show, according to the event’s co-sponsors, the
National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and its National
Council on Seniors Housing (NCOSH).
“The success of our first show proved that the housing industry
is really starting to see the potential in building for active
adults aged 55 and over,” said NCOSH executive director Leslie
Marks.
“Buyers in the 55-65 age group are healthier and wealthier than
ever, and expect their housing choices to reflect their more
active, independent lifestyles and with a Baby Boomer turning 50
every eight seconds, this market will continue to grow
exponentially,” Marks added.
Additional information on the show can be obtained from NCOSH at
