St. Thomas Buys Altmans

National City, CA St. Thomas Creations, the manufacturer of
sinks, faucets and bath fixtures headquartered here, has purchased
Altmans, the well-known Los Angeles-based distributor of faucets
and fittings.

The acquisition, whose terms were not disclosed, was announced
last month by St. Thomas, which is part of the G.I.S. Group,
Mexico’s leading manufacturer of tile and plumbing fixtures.

“Our first priority with Altman’s is to re-invigorate the
innovative design heritage that first distinguished the company,”

Altmans, founded in 1987 by Sidney Altman, is best known for its
distinctive and imaginative styling, including waterfall tub spouts
sculpted in dolphin, swan and dragon designs.
