Supplier Update: Gerber CEO Letter to Customers

Dear Valued Gerber Customers,

As the global effect of coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, Gerber is intently monitoring the situation and heeding public health guidance to keep our employees and their communities safe.

Effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020, we instituted remote work procedure for all employees whose work can be done from home, and have implemented additional precautions for our distribution team members.

We have also decided to suspend any non-essential travel and are fully utilizing technologies we have in place to hold virtual meetings until further notice. Many of our customers and partners have requested that we do not travel to their locations at this time, but any visits deemed necessary by both our customers and ourselves will continue to occur.

We have strong inventory levels due to planned product availability measures taken ahead of the Lunar New Year, providing us with the supplemental stock required to weather the previous extended factory shut down.

In China, our vitreous china and brass manufacturing facility are both fully operational. Shipments within North America remain unaffected at this time, as all 6 North American distribution centers are open and operational.

All in all, we feel very fortunate to share that it is mostly business as usual for Gerber.
