Trade Show Cites Gains
Mount Sterling, OH StonExpo 2003, a leading trade show for the
natural stone industry, along with the Marble Institute of
America’s Convention and Cornerstone Forum education program,
achieved all-time records for attendance and exhibit participation
with last year’s event, show organizers announced.
Last year’s show, staged in December at Atlanta’s Georgia World
Congress Center, drew nearly 5,100 attendees, a 20% increase over
the previous year, show sponsors said.
Some 240 companies exhibited at the two-day event, they
added.
StonExpo is a non-profit event owned by the StonExpo Federation,
a consortium of industry representatives headquartered here.
Revenue from the show is used to promote the use of natural stone
and “to educate users and specifiers about the quality and
advantages of using natural stone,” show organizers noted.
The Marble Institute of America also conducts its annual meeting
and “Pinnacle Awards” luncheon during the event.
StonExpo 2004 will take place Oct. 28-30 at the Los Angeles
Convention Center, organizers announced.
