The COVID-19 pandemic changed homeowner interactions. What measures do you use to signal an extra level of care when working in or around a client’s home?
Hand washing stations and signage have been established on job sites. Masks are required for employees and vendors onsite. Virtual site meetings are encouraged. In person meetings by appointment only and social distancing measures must be followed.
Seamless communication technology is now both necessary and expected. How have you used new technology platforms to promote better customer communication and satisfaction?
From the very beginning of Covid-19, we implemented virtual meeting appointments and presentations for all Van Metre Design+Build clients and prospective clients. With our extensive IT capability, we are able to offer a complete online customer experience including design presentations, selections, 3D renderings and other services up to and including ratification of contracts and agreements.
What was your message to clients with projects in progress in order to keep them happy and satisfied during the uncertainty of the stay-at-home period?
Our message was simple to our existing clients – their health and safety as well as the health and safety of our employees and trade partners was our first priority. Indoor projects were delayed as deemed necessary or put on hold in order to comply with CDC guidelines and client requests. Outdoor projects continued with Covid-19 protocol measures in place. Our clients were very receptive and appreciative of Van Metre’s proactive approach to dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic. With Van Metre’s 65 year track record of performance and customer satisfaction, they had the comfort of knowing that they were in the caring hands of a company that sets high standards and keeps their commitments to customers, employees, and trade partners.
