Zola Windows

How do your energy efficient windows help residential remodelers?

Contrary to popular belief, windows are actually one of the most efficient ways to upgrade comfort and energy efficiency in a home. Current high performance windows, such as Zola's ZNC or ThermoPlusClad, have overall R-values of R-8 to R-11. This is about three times the efficiency of an Energy Star window. This makes for a more balanced envelope as you plug the leakiest part, but also for better comfort as there are no drafts originating from windows.

What’s the next advancement in the energy efficient window market?

Recent years have brought high performance (R-8 plus) windows to large openings, such as 20 ft. or longer sliding or folding doors. The latest advancements go to R-15 quadruple glazing and frames with even more insulation, a technology that will trickle down to oversized units over the next few years.
