VT to get $3.1M in lead paint funding

BELLOWS FALLS, VT — Jan. 18, 2011– The Lead Safe Homes program at Parks Place will receive its funding for the next three years after the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development announced the latest round of grants for lead paint programs across the country.

Vermont will receive $3.1 million over three years after HUD handed out $127 million in grants to 48 local projects that protect children and families from potentially dangerous lead-based paint in older homes.
