Wilsonart, Hanwha Establish
Alliance
Temple, TX Wilsonart Inter-national, Inc. and Hanwha L & C
Corp. have formed an alliance for the manufacture and distribution
of Wilsonart Solid Surface products, the companies announced.
According to officials at the Temple, TX-based Wilsonart, Hanwha
L & C will be the producer of new solid surface designs for
Wilsonart, to be released in early 2005, as well as some current
designs later this year.
Based in Seoul, Korea, Hanwha is a $20-billion, privately-held
general plastics manufacturer that has produced an acrylic solid
surface product line since 1995.”We believe Hanwha’s manufacturing
capabilities, coupled with Wilsonart’s sales, marketing, design and
distribution expertise, will prove to be a great benefit to our
customers,” stated Jerry Samu, Wilsonart Solid Surface general
manager.
Wilsonart noted that it will continue its relationship with
Aristech Acrylics, LLC., which produces solid surface material for
the Wilsonart Gibraltar and Earthstone product lines.
“Wilsonart Solid Surface is evolving from a single-source
supplier concept to a global-sourcing strategy,” said Samu. “By
using multiple suppliers, Wilsonart will bring the market
innovative designs with the same high-quality standards our
customers have come to expect in our Gibraltar and Earthstone
product lines.”
